About Me
I grew up in Salisbury, North Carolina. It is located about an hour outside of Charlotte. It is a small town that I often took for granite but ultimately made me yearn for the same type of tight-knit community in college. Furman University has less than 3000 students but I still have the opportunity to meet new people often, like on the study abroad trip I will be going on next semester to Scotland. I am thrilled for this experience because I love traveling. It will also provide me with the opportunity to go further outside my comfort zone.

Each year in high school, I went to San Jose, Costa Rica on a mission trip. There, we built a house for a family with a group called Homes of Hope. It was a humbling experience and really ignited my desire to explore new places.

I will be graduating in 2018 with a BA in Information Technology and Communication Studies. Yes, these are on complete opposite spectrums and it took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to major in. However, I found that while I enjoy the world of social media, web design, and data analytics, I also like to plan and interact with others, and use my creativity with technology whenever possible. I would define myself as a techie conversationalist and not completely "heads down" technical.

I hope you will take the time to explore my digital portfolio and resume to see how Furman has shaped me into the woman I am now and will continue to do so over this next year.
